Locks4Rock is a Grand Rapids, Michigan live music charity event where long hair becomes something more.
Every few years, Jason Eller Live Music and Kings Room Barbershop team up to host this event, with Jason growing his hair out between each one to cut and donate it live while performing with his band.
Dozens of others join him, donating their own hair during the event to help create wigs for children experiencing hair loss.

Maggie’s Wigs 4 Kids of Michigan is a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides 100% free wigs and support services to children experiencing hair loss due to cancer, alopecia, burns, and other medical conditions.
These wigs help restore confidence, self-esteem, and social acceptance for children facing difficult health challenges.
Insurance does not cover the cost of these wigs, which is why community support and events like Locks4Rock make such a big difference.

Have long hair? Want to make a difference?
Donate your hair at our event to help provide wigs for Michigan children in need. FREE haircut & style from Kings Room Barbershop immediately following your hair donation!

Maggie’s Wigs4Kids requests 10 inches of hair, but donations as short as 7–9 inches may still be accepted for shorter wigs.
On donation day, hair must be:
• Clean and Completely Dry
• NOT colored or chemically treated within the last 2 years (including temporary color, stains, sun-in, permanent color, highlights, perms or relaxers, etc.)
• No More Than 10% GrayCurly hair can be measured straight to determine length, but does not need to be straightened before donating.
Hair donors of all ages are welcome… the majority of Wigs4Kids hair donations come from children helping other children!
Not donating hair? Come enjoy the live music, grab some food, and check out the raffle and silent auction while supporting a great cause!
